Describe your path to setting up your own business in Cabo and how the business has changed over the years.

I was born on December 8, 1981 in Mexico City. When I was young, I moved to Cabo with my family. My adventure began when I started working in my parents’ restaurant, Tierra Firme.

From my childhood, I remember the aroma of my mother and grandmother’s kitchens and the incredible dishes they cooked, always with delicious colors and flavors.

I learned customer service at the hotel, The Bungalows B & B, and followed the family recipe for hospitality. There, I first acted on my passion for teaching, giving cooking classes to guests and taking them on a tour of organic farms by Todos Santos. They cooked their own products from the land and used the same ingredients for cooking classes. I learned how to raise and harvest my own food.

I’m passionate about organic farming and agriculture as well. I ventured into different businesses, always related to food and service. Two of these businesses were the seafood restaurant, Dulce Isabella, and the Mexican restaurant Con Amor.

The best hotels asked for my services, and in 2006, I became a butler of excellence in service, having the opportunity to work and meet very important people.

Tell us a little more about your company.

One of my biggest successes has been my catering company, Cabo Chef Services, which has been a success since 2007. The business has given me the opportunity to do what I like most—make people happy. Throughout these years, we have been able to observe and participate in all the wonderful changes of the Los Cabos area. We give our clients a complete and personalized service. They’re always looking to have an unforgettable experience, and we provide this. We surprise them with our best dishes, always using the same secret ingredient in everything—love.
